Forensics Degree: Specialisation in Firearms and Ballistics

My 17 year old son is currently studying his GCE A Levels (Maths Physics Geography and PE) with the intention to pursue tertiary education. My son has expressed an interest in a Forensics degree course with some module or specialisation in Firearms and Ballistics. Can anyone recommend any universities or courses that meet this specification?
In addition, I note that a number of universities require, for the study of forensics, a high level of Chemistry knowledge. Can anyone recommend a course or university where chemistry is a not an academic qualification requirement?
