Forensic Career Advice

by Anonymous

I am a Forensic science graduate from the u.k desperately trying to get a job within the field. Is there anyone out there who would be able to advise me on how to progress further with getting a job that is remotely to do with forensic science?

For example are there any courses I would be able to attend and pass that would help me get a job with the scientific support units? I am currently a Laboratory Technician in an earth sciences department of a university. I am gaining more relevant experience but just do not feel like I am using my brain and skills to their full potential.

It does seem like a catch 22, where no where will employ you without extensive experience but there is no where to get any experience as no one will employ you, or worse still no one allows any voluntary work experience within this field.
