I doubt very much that there are any specifically forensic geology jobs in forensic science (except perhaps at the FBI). All the people that call themselves forensic geologists are actually private consultants who work on occasion with law enforcement agencies. Forensic geology is usually done in forensic labs by criminalists working in trace evidence sections. Starting salaries for criminalists are about 1/2 those of petroleum geologists.
