Liver Temp. & Rigor Mortis
by: Anonymous

There is an actual matematical equation of working out the hours =

(37.5 - the current liver temp) ÷ 0.53

for example:

liver temp of 31°C = 7.83 hrs
liver temp of 28°C = 11.45 hrs.

For rigor mortis, use this as a guide line -

0 hours - process begins
6 hours - rigor mortis in face
8-12 hours - body (such as limbs)
24 hours - body begins to decompose
36 hours - no signs of rigor mortis.

as soon as the body starts to decompose, the rigor mortis starts to disapear. small muscles first, then the larger ones.
