Gun Powder Residue

by Marianne
(Florida, USA)

In 1983 my uncle committed suicide. He used a black powder gun. However, the autopsy report states there was absolutely no residue on his hands or fingers. how can this be possible? There were no gloves involved his wife was home at the time.

I realize its been a lot of years but it has always bothered me. I guess my question is simple. How could he have committed suicide with no black powder residue on his hands?
