Photo Flo is not in itself a medium for fingerprint development but does form part of the required mixture for SPR (small particle reagent).
BY40 can be used with either an ethanol(for laboratory examinations) or water (for scene examinations)solution after treatment by CNA, the BY40 adheres to the marks which can then be visualised by a light source that puts out light between 460-510nm and the appropriate filters or goggles.
