You can choose from

Hans Gross (author of first text advocating use of geologists, chemists etc in criminal proceedings)

A. Conan Doyle (creator of Sherlock Holmes and advocate for the use of trace evidence)

Georg Popp (Frankfort-Am-Main chemist who handled a number of cases involving trace evidence)

Edmond Locard (father of the Locard Exchange Principle)

I would give Georg Popp pride of place because he was really the first to do trace analyses in criminal cases.
