Status of UK Forensic Science Qualifications in The USA

I am a graduate student from London with Forensic Science degree, and would like to pursue a career in forensics in the US. Will my qualification gained in the UK be recognised in the USA, and also with British status what sort of work visa would I require if I was to work in the US. Many Thanks
