Forensic Scientist DNA Analysis Career

by Alan Shannon
(Palmerston North, NZ)

Hi there, my daughter is in year 9 @ High School and has been tasked with finding out all she can on the career of a Forensic Scientist - DNA Analyst.

Can anyone please provide answers to the following:

What does a Forensic Scientist do?

What does the job entail?

What subjects are best studied at school to help lead one into this career?

What qualifications will one need to become a Foprensic Scientist?

Any other information/Facts that you may feel are relevant to the role of the F/Scientist that could be of help?

Many thanks

Alan
