Journal Description Forensic Science International publishes original contributions in the many different scientific disciplines pertaining to the forensic sciences. Fields include forensic pathology and histochemistry, chemistry, biochemistry and toxicology (including drugs, alcohol, etc.), biology (including the identification of hairs and fibres), serology, odontology, psychiatry, anthropology, the physical sciences, firearms, and document examination, as well as investigations of value to public health in its broadest sense, and the important marginal area where science and medicine interact with the law. Journal Description Forensic Science Policy & Management: An International Journal is dedicated to improving the effectiveness, efficiency, quality, and operations of forensic science laboratories as well as to the education and training of forensic scientists. In addition, the journal explores the government and institutional policies that affect the practice and management of forensic science. Articles in the journal will focus on the business of forensic science laboratories, including but not limited to: Original research articles, case reviews, editorials/commentary, book reviews, and letters to the editors will be included in each issue of this forensic journal. Forensic Science Policy & Management: An International Journal does not focus on the science of forensic science, but rather on how scientists, managers, and policy makers practice and use that science. The journal will provide a vital forum for exploring both current practice in forensic science and methods for improving and advancing the field so that it can meet rapidly increasing public needs and expectations.
