Crime Scene Profiling Investigative Work As A Career

My question is how can I go about training with professionals in the area of crime - mainly serial killers - the psychology or a common link?
I am completing my last year next year 2010 as an undergraduate student in London at the University of Greenwich.
I am referred as a Mature student I wanted help to kick start a career - and need training - I would love to work as a trainee/Intern within a professional organization but do not know how to go about it?
